A Predicted Log Contest is a powerboating event where skippers predict their running times over a set course, then navigate without GPS or timing aids. Officials record actual checkpoint times, and the boat with the smallest error wins. The contest highlights navigation skills and consistency, letting classic and modern powerboats compete on equal terms.
