"Spring Into Salsa" Dance Class

Join us for our FREE Salsa dance classes beginning May 6th. During our multi dance level program, we’ll ensure that students find or rediscover the natural enjoyment of dance.

Our classes are designed to introduce and strengthen the fundamentals of couples salsa dancing. In this class, you will learn the essential steps, timing, and techniques that will bring you confidence every time you step on the dance floor. Whether you're completely new to dancing or have some experience in salsa or other dance styles, our class is designed to be fun, welcoming, and accessible to anyone.

Each class begins with a warm-up, then partner work. You’ll learn dance etiquette, mindfulness in dance, as well as the spontaneous, improvisational movements guided by musical cues while enhancing dance communication with your partner.

- Class dates: May 6, 13, 27 & June 3, 10, 17 *(subject to change)

- Doors open at 6:45pm | Dance Class is from 7:30p-8:30p

- Post class social hour (optional) from 8:30p-9:30p

- You must register on the Eventbrite link on this page

- Although not required, students may bring a dance partner

- Class are 100% FREE to Military Veterans, Active Military, First responders, their dance partners, Gold Star families and WBW volunteers.

Come comfortable and ready to dance. We don't have a specific dress code. But we recommend that you wear clothing that does not restrict movement. Feel free to wear something you feel confident in. Avoid backless and rubber sole shoes that might cause gripping on the floor, preventing a natural slide or pivots, making it hard to turn. Leather or hard rubber/plastic sole shoes work well. Partners are not required, as we rotate partners throughout class, although rotating partners is not required.

Info: You can arrive as early as 6:45pm. The lounge and dance floor will be open to warm up, socialize, decompress or simply hang out.

Info: Dance instruction begins at 7:30pm and will end at 8:30pm.

Info: Stay after class to socialize, go over recently learned dance moves or simply to cool down. This portion of the program is optional.
