Silverroom Workshops: Befriending and Healing Your Inner Child

In session one we will discuss ways to befriend our inner child through meaningful discussion and a purposeful art activity. In session two, we will take things a step further and discuss how to heal the wounds sustained in childhood through intentional action, vulnerability and deep care for self. Sessions are open to any, all (ages, stages, identity, diagnosis) and may incorporate various elements including discussion, art, technology, media, and play to increase engagement and accessibility. Ammie Kae, granddaughter of Ammie and Kay, is a licensed social worker, clinical therapist and founder of Granddaughters, a private practice that aims to provide mental health care centering Black girls, women, their families and communities.
