Found in Place explores the ways belonging reveals itself in fragments, through familiar sights such as the lines of a porch, the shadow of a tree, or the glow of late afternoon light across a neighborhood street. The artists translate these impressions into layered, abstract compositions where brushstrokes and molding act as gestures of recognition, with each piece becoming a meditation on seeing, staying, and claiming space.

Through her vibrant palette and richly textured surfaces, Stronsky transforms the everyday into expressive landscapes of memory and presence. The works invite viewers to consider their own connections to place, tracing the quiet beauty of what surrounds them and reflecting on the resonance of home.

With purposeful intent, Cronin Hughes transforms porcelain into objects d’art that pays tribute to the natural world. She begins with a wedge of clay.  She rolls, throws, pinches the porcelain into shapes revealed. She investigates nuance of form, considers sense of order, and explores the power of subtle variation, hushing the noise of daily distraction.
