“Who’s ready for a day of creating and hanging out in Chicago’s Chinatown? This will be a wonderful day of creating art alongside friends, new and old. A day of FREE Sketchwalk led by USk Chicago sketchers, Bernie Martinez, Robert Cordero and others.
Saturday, September 20, 2025
9 AM Gather at Chinatown Pagoda/Nine Dragon Wall (158 Cermak)
9-11:30 AM Morning Session: Sketch south and then back north along Wentworth Ave. locations of your choosing.
11:30 AM Group throw down and photo at “You are Beautiful Plaza” (23rd St/Wentworth)
11:30 AM-1 PMLunch on your own in the area. Then head north along Wentworth towards Ping Tom Park.
1-4 PM Afternoon Session: Work your way to Ping Tom Park sketching what interests you.
4 PM Throw down and Group Photo at Ping Tom Park Pagoda (1700 S. Wentworth)
4:30 PM Drink & Draw at Imperial Restaurant (2100 S Archer Ave.) Bring cash for easier check process.

If you’ve not participated in a sketch walk before, we encourage you to jump in and give it a go! It’s a unique way to sketch a lot in one day, get to know a neighborhood and meet the best people, although they are sketchy🤣.
I (Marcia Schrotenboer) will be taking Amtrak to Union Station and from there the water taxi to Chinatown for the day!
