Incense Making and Smoke Clearing

Incense  has been used in cultures all over the world for celebration, ceremonies and everyday air freshening.  In this class we will learn about the different types of incense and herbal bundles,  and ultimately make our own. Participants will harvest herbs and hand tie them into bundles for burning. In addition to that participants will see a demonstration of resin incense making and play with dried herbs to create their own blends. 

You are invited to Urban Growers Collective for a fun and informative workshop: we will learn about the different types of incense and herbal bundles, and ultimately make our own. In addition to that participants will see a demonstration of resin incense making and play with dried herbs to create their own blends. All supplies will be provided. Incense has been used in cultures all over the world for celebration, ceremonies and everyday air freshening.

A ticket for the workshop is $100; we. are offering a reduced cost ticket of $25 in exchange for 3 workshare hours at our South Chicago farm. Workshare hours need to be completed a week in advance of the workshop date in order for the reduced cost to be honored. If they are not completed, the ticket holder will be charged the additional $75 upon arrival to the workshop
