Hi all! It's the 4th of December and I have time to finish up the itinerary. We're headed back to some familiar spots and a few new ones to mix it up. Our trip plan is:
430 - 515: Lottie's Pub - 1925 W. Cortland (Logan Square): Don't worry, I know this is an early start. If you can't make stop one, don't worry, meet us somewhere along the way. If you CAN make it, come check out where they used to film episodes of Chicago Fire until they recreated the spot on a sound stage somewhere in the city. Then we take a trip on the Blue Line to:
545 - 645: Gale Street Inn - 4914 N. Milwaukee (Jefferson Park): Just reopened under new management! Do they still have the same recipe for delicious ribs? We'll find out! Can you get a hurricane mixed at the bar? We'll find out! Is it weird to drink a hurricane from a glass receptacle instead of a plastic cup made to be dumped onto Bourbon Street? Absolutely!
700 - 800: City's Edge - 5310 W. Devon (Forest Glen): This is another place we've visited before. But in my defense a) we know someone who works here and b) this may be the only bar in the neighborhood. This may have been a dry neighborhood way back in the day. 815 - 915 Tin Whistle + Superdawg - 6448 N. Milwaukee (Norwood Park): We will make a trip to the iconic Superdawg sign and restaurant. Getting a hot dog is encouraged, but not mandatory. We do need to get a picture in front of the anthropomorphic hot dog, and then cross the street to the Tin Whistle. We'll grab a quick drink and then take a ride over to . . .
930 - 1030 Edison Park Inn - 6715 N. Olmsted (Edison Park): A neighborhood institution, we can get a pizza or a beer or two. Some of Sean's bartender friends work here, so if we are lucky they'll be on station. Then it's right across the street to the Edison Park Metra before the ride back into the city. And if you didn't get a chance to visit Logan Square at the start of the night we have:

1115 - ???? Lan's Chicago - 1438 W. Cortland (Logan Square): I'm calling the spot on the 5th to make sure they don't have some sort of private party there on the 12th AGAIN. But if there is no private party, we will head on over for karaoke, immense cocktails, and possible dancing on tables. Please do not jump in the river, no matter how nice the water looks. And if it is your birthday on the 12th, DO NOT TELL JIMMY.
