The Chicago Debate Society is excited to announce Chicago Spotify WrAPDA, in person on Friday, January 23rd to Saturday, January 24th 2026.

♪ Format
This tournament will consist of five APDA Motion prelim rounds, followed by a break to varsity quarterfinals and novice semifinals (subject to change based on tournament size)
Outrounds will be challenge outs! (the top seed can select their opponent, followed by the next highest remaining seed until all teams are paired).
♪ Registration
The registration deadline is 1/11 at 11:59 PM. Message us if you need an extension.
Registration is $160 per team. Please reach out if you need a reg-break. We will be accommodating, given that we know many teams will have to travel a long distance.
This tournament is an open. However, we encourage dinos to participate in the form of semi-open partnerships (ie, partnering with an APDA-eligible debater).

♪ Judging
The judge requirement for each school is (n-1)/2, rounded up. Only varsity and dino judges count toward your requirement.
The fee for missing judges is $80 per missing judge. Just like with reg fees, this is negotiable on a case-by-case basis.
