2025 Swim Course
The course is an 800-meter (½ mile) stretch of the river between Wolf Point (west) and the State Street Bridge (east).
2-Mile Swim: Two counterclockwise loops, finishing at the River Theater under the Clark Street Bridge.
1-Mile Swim: One counterclockwise loop along the same route.
The course will be marked with large inflatable buoys, with any hazards (inlets, docked boats, etc.) clearly marked and protected by spotter kayaks. Kayaks and stand-up paddleboards will also guide swimmers and keep them in their lanes.
Safety is a top priority. Lifeguards, rescue boats, and medical staff will be on the water and on shore. Land-based spotters will monitor from elevated posts, and safety boats will keep a clear path for emergency vessels. The U.S. Coast Guard will ensure the waterway is traffic-free for the event.

7:00 AM Event Start: 2-Mile Swim
7:30 AM Finish Festival Opens
8:00 AM Event Start: 1-Mile Swim
9:15 AM All Swimmers Finished
9:30 AM Awards Ceremony
10:00 AM VIP Viewing Party Closes
10:30 AM Finish Festival Concludes
