Join us Saturday, August 23, 2025 for Team Photo Race 4, the ultimate team-based photo scavenger hunt across Chicago. Teams of three will ride hard, plan smart, and compete to complete the most photo challenges for the highest score.

Team Registration
All teams must register and be approved in advance.

No late entries will be accepted

Start Location: Wilson Skate Park
Check-In via team photo at Wilson posted to the Chicago PEV Telegram Chat: 11:00AM–11:30AM
Race Briefing/Map Reveal & Race Start via Telegram Chat: 11:30AM SHARP
Photo Submission Deadline: 6:00PM
Awards Ceremony:
Black Sheep on the following Tuesday Night Ride

What to Bring
Helmet: REQUIRED (team will be disqualified if any member shows up without one)
Charger
Tools/spares: belts, tubes, chains, etc
Other essentials: water, snacks, sunscreen, comfortable shoes
Be ready for a full day of riding, charging, and problem solving
Team Format & Ride Requirements
Each team must consist of 3 riders.
Only 2 Long Range EMotos/EUC's allowed
Long range=40+ miles of fast riding
Medium range=20-39 miles of fast riding
Short range=Up to 19 miles of fast riding
Only one of each PEV type may be used...no battery swaps
If you don’t know anyone and need to find a team, use the Chicago PEV Telegram or Facebook group to link up with other riders
Race Format & Scoring
Teams will attempt to complete as many photo challenges as possible for the highest score.
30 total Photo Challenge Locations with base values of 5, 10, or 20 points depending on distance
2 Bonus Riddle Locations worth 15 points each (e.g. “Take a photo where Fort Dearborn was located”)
Multiplier Bonus (photo-based):
3 teammates in a photo: 3x base points
2 teammates: 2x
1 teammate: base points
PEV Multiplier (based on what you're riding):
Each photo is scored as:
base location points × photo multiplier × PEV type multiplier
PEV Type Multipliers:
Long Range EMoto / Long Range EUC = x1
Mid Range EMoto / Mid Range EUC = x2
Mid Range Ebike = x5
Long Range ESkate = x7
Short Range Ebike / EUC = x10
Mid Range ESkate = x15
Short Range ESkate = x20
Scoring Example:
A 10-point location
If completed by a Short Range EUC, solo: 10 × 1 × 10 = 100 points
If completed by a Mid Range ESkate with 2 teammates in the photo: 10 × 2 × 15 = 300 points
If completed by a Long Range EMoto, solo: 10 × 1 × 1 = 10 points
Submissions
Submit all photos to the Chicago PEV Telegram Chat by 6PM SHARP
MUST Include:
Your team name
The name of the location shown in each photo
Only one photo per location per team is allowed
Teammates must be in each photo for the multiplier to count
Photos sent after 6PM will not be counted
The team with the highest point total wins
In the event of a tie, the fastest team time wins
Cheating = Death
No public transit. No cars. No Photoshop.
Any team caught cheating will be disqualified and permanently banned from all future events
Anyone who signs up & does not show for race day will also be disqualified from any & all future contests
Play fair & don't flake out on your teammates
Prize
Awarded at the after-party at Black Sheep the following Tuesday
