As a Black female alternative rock and metal artist, Blake Red, dares to challenge the traditions of heavy music. The Chicago native is a fearless, multihyphenate performer, songwriterproducer-instrumentalist who continues to push boundaries with passionate lyrics combined with sonic power. Driven by a lifelong love for electric guitar, Blake Red has composed 3 studio EPs since her debut in 2018. The Berklee College of Music graduate’s latest EP, Out of the Cage, releases on all streaming platforms October 3 2025 including new single “Scorpion”.
