Artificial intelligence (AI) is transforming our world, but the conversation about who benefits — and who bears the costs — must include all of us. This event is designed to spark awareness, deepen understanding, and foster dialogue so that our communities can play an active role in shaping a better digital future.

🌱 Interactive Art Installation & Lightning Talk: Experience a thought-provoking installation that highlights the environmental impacts of AI and invites you to reflect on the future we are creating here in Chicago. Hear a lightning talk from the incredible builders and designers behind the installation as well!

🧠 Hands-On Workshop: AI Ethics & Mindfulness: Dive into a guided workshop where participants will explore the ethical dimensions of AI and explore tools for building more responsible technology use.

🤝 Community Networking: Meet students, educators, technologists, and community leaders. Share ideas, spark collaborations, and interact with the art installation in meaningful ways over food and drinks.
