SKEPTIC LIVE AT LIQUID ROOM, CHIANG MAI
Southampton-based UKG sensation Skeptic flies in for a mini tour of Bangkok, Chiang Mai, and Hanoi, hosted by Locked In Asia.
One of the most in-demand names in the UK scene, his rise over the past few years has been nothing short of meteoric.
Starting out on SoundCloud in 2022, Skeptic quickly stood out as part of a new wave of producers championing a speed garage revival. His cheeky, club-ready flips, including dubplates of Selecta J-Man’s “Couple Guinness” and Gwen Stefani’s “Hollaback Girl”, earned him early recognition from digging DJs and hinted at a distinct sound in the making.
The breakthrough came with the independently released Skepstick, a bold celebration of hitting 10,000 SoundCloud followers. The tracks swept dancefloors across the UK, Europe, and Australia, cementing Skeptic’s underground appeal and setting the tone for what was to come.
This momentum caught the attention of EC2A, the Bristol-based label synonymous with the new-gen garage wave. Skeptic’s releases EC2A-053 and EC2A-066 are among the label’s strongest, with Join Hands (Dark Dub) becoming an instant classic. So much so that a second version appeared on Skepstick V2, which also featured a playable video game with Skeptic as the main character.
On the live front, Skeptic has lit up festival stages and club nights alike. With standout sets at Love Saves the Day in both 2024 and 2025 (the latter B2B with Silva Bumpa), he’s also made appearances at Outlook Festival, and played for Balamii, Kindred, Keep Hush, and Clock Factory further proving why he’s one of the most exciting artists in the game right now.
