On Friday, February 13, LGBTQ+ Wyomingites and allies from across the state will gather at the Wyoming State Capitol for Equality Day — a statewide day of visibility, advocacy, and community.
Equality Day is about reminding lawmakers that real people, families, and communities are behind the policies they consider and that LGBTQ+ people belong in every corner of Wyoming.
What is Equality Day?
Equality Day includes:
- Morning and afternoon legislative visits at the Capitol
- A community rally at noon
- Opportunities to connect with people from across the state
- Optional advocacy training the night before (Registration required:

You’re welcome to join for the full day or for whatever portion works for you — whether that’s the morning advocacy, the rally, or the afternoon sessions.
Why February 13?
February 13 is the closest day to Valentine’s Day that lawmakers are in session. We’re showing up with a simple message: loving Wyoming means protecting our neighbors — including LGBTQ+ people and families.
Who should attend?
LGBTQ+ Wyomingites, allies, families, faith leaders, advocates, and anyone who believes in dignity, safety, and equality for all. No prior advocacy experience is required.
We’re working to remove barriers to participation, including support with travel, lodging, and accessibility needs.
Other ways to support:
💌 Host a Valentine’s Advocacy Party
Gather friends in your community to write Valentine cards to legislators and help spread the word about Equality Day.

Equality Day is about visibility, love, and collective power. When we show up together, we remind our leaders — and each other — that LGBTQ+ Wyomingites are here, we care deeply about our communities, and we’re not going anywhere.
We hope you’ll join us.
