Join us for an inspiring evening as we welcome Mandy Norman and Maria McDonough of the Coral Reef Alliance (CORAL) for a fascinating discussion: Understanding Coral Reefs and How to Save Them.
Coral reefs are among the most biodiverse ecosystems on the planet, but they face serious threats from climate change, pollution, and unsustainable practices. Mandy and Maria will share the challenges reefs are up against today — and, more importantly, the real-world solutions that are making a difference. From improving water quality to supporting sustainable fisheries, you’ll learn how communities and individuals alike are playing a vital role in protecting these underwater treasures.
Mandy Norman, CORAL’s Development & Marketing Director, brings her lifelong passion for the ocean and extensive conservation experience to mobilizing resources and partnerships that safeguard reefs worldwide.
Maria McDonough, CORAL’s Philanthropy Manager, offers both professional expertise and a personal perspective from living in Panama’s reef communities, where she has witnessed firsthand the urgency of protecting these fragile ecosystems. Together, they’ll deliver a talk that is equal parts educational, eye-opening, and empowering — leaving you with practical ways to join the movement for reef conservation.
