IEG returns for our last event of 2025. Restless Spirits AKA, who featured in Tallbird Records Albums of the year 2024, return with a set of new material.
Matt Nicholson is a poet and performer from Hull. He loves the page and the stage in equal measure. His poems are both witty and gritty, blunt and sharp. They have the ability to break your heart and mend it again (according to Helen Mort), they will rhyme and not rhyme, and this is not his first time in Chesterfield.
Paul Kenny has been hanging around Sheffield's music scene for time immemorial, providing Nile Rodgers inflected guitar lines to a plethora of bands. More recently, he's moved centre stage to deliver his plaintive, beautiful acoustic songs solo. It's a pleasure to have him for his Chesterfield Labour Club debut.
Ichabod Wolf opened 2025 with the superb, magical album Live at St Leonards and sees it out as IEG's irreplaceable resident genius. In possession of a repertoire overflowing with lyrical magnificence, we are agog to see what he brings to the table for our final event of the year.
