Ride Description: This is another must do ride on the Derbyshire Calendar and a D3C Ride with distance options for everyone. The shortest route is 6km and longest 34km. Heading out of the venue through Shilitto wood via a small b road you are soon heading onto stunning bridlepaths which stretch across the Sheffield Moors: Ramsey, Big, Totley and Blackamoor. Crossing Big and Totley Moor is a linear route so you can turn around at any point. The ground is lovely at your preferred pace and is mainly barefoot friendly with only Ramsley Moor being stoney.
The Blackamoor is the challenging loop with the 'infamous' Devil's elbow, Wimpole Hill and Piper hill and gives the ride an elevation of 510M
All routes have an option to finish on the Unthank Farm Ride and gallops. With the exception of stewarded road crossings and a short 0.5mile minor road between Ramsley Moor, all off road.
Classes show the route options but you can change on the day, most riders want to go further.
