15 Steps of Maternity - Countess of Chester Hospital

Chester Maternity and Neonatal Voices Partnership (MNVP) invites you to join us for the 15 Steps of Maternity at the Countess of Chester Hospital.

This is an opportunity for parents and families to take part in a walkaround of the maternity environment, looking at it through the eyes of those who use the service. The aim is to understand what works well, what could be improved, and how the environment feels for women, birthing people, babies, and families.

Your feedback will help shape future improvements and ensure that care at the Countess continues to be welcoming, safe, and family-centred.

We’re looking for service users and their supporters who are:

• Currently pregnant, or
• Used Maternity services within the last 3 years

You don’t need any previous experience—just your honest opinions and observations.

As a thank you for taking part, attendees will receive a £25 shopping voucher.

• A short introduction to the 15 Steps process
• A guided walkaround of maternity areas in small groups
• Informal discussion and feedback session
• Light refreshments provided

Please wear comfortable footwear as some walking will be involved.

You are welcome to bring your baby along in a pram/sling and there are changing facilities available. To keep things relaxed and focused, we kindly ask that older children don't attend this event.
