Book Launch: The Chalk Stream Poetry Anthology

Come an join us to celebrate the launch of the Chalk Stream Poetry Anthology. The Chalk Stream poetry anthology is the inaugural collection of selected poems that have formed part of the Chesham Literary Festival poetry competition and its sister venture, Mindful Verses, since its launch in the spring of 2023.

Featuring over 100 poems from over 70 poets, this book showcases a wide range of ages, backgrounds and experiences. It represents only a small number of entries to the annual competition, and includes entries and winners of the Chesham Residents and Rest of the World categories, as well as the Under 11 years old and 11–18 years old categories. Together, these poems explore a diverse span of topics, including love, family, grief, nature, mental health and much more.

This is a free event and will feature readings from some of the anthologised poets. The evening will showcase some of the literary talent at large in the Chesham community. All proceeds from the night will go in support of the Hospice of St Francis.
