Join us for a Beginner-Friendly Prerelease Event designed just for new and returning players!
Learn the basics, get helpful tips on deck building and gameplay, and build confidence while getting the prerelease experience. It’s the perfect way to swing into Magic with Spider-Man by your side!

1:00 PM – Learn to Play. Educational video, Q&A then play with welcome decks.
2:00 PM – Learn to Deck Build, Deck Building and Deck Review
3:30 PM – Round 1 (50 minutes)
4:30 PM – Round 2 (50 minutes)
5:30 PM – Final Round (50 minutes)
❓ FAQs
What is a Prerelease?
A Prerelease is your first chance to play with the newest Magic: The Gathering set — a full week early! Each player receives a Prerelease kit containing 6 booster packs, 1 promo card, and a spindown life die. Use these to build a 40-card deck and jump into the action!
New to Magic?
This a perfect event for you! We slowly build your knowledge of the game before we jump into the prerelease!
Can I just buy a Prerelease Kit?
If any remain after the weekend, they’ll be available for general sale starting Monday.
What about prizes?
Every player receives a booster pack after Round 1! Additional prizes (or store credit) are awarded to players who finish with a 2-0 or 3-0 record.
What if my match goes over time?
When the 50-minute round timer ends, players enter “turns” — 5 additional turns shared between both players to finish the match.
What’s a Player Meeting?
A brief rundown from our staff before the event kicks off — covering rules, structure, and anything else you need to know.
Will the welcome deck be a Spider-man one?
Unfortunately not. The welcome decks will the the standard ones.
