Annual First Weekend Hike

Join us on our first weekend hike at the Great Dismal Swamp Canal Trail in Chesapeake. We will meet at the northern trailhead of this trail for a 3 mile, round trip hike.
Along the way we will talk about the the history of the swamp, some of the people associated with it, the vegetative and animal species, as well as the effects that human interactions have had, and are having with the Swamp.
Bring your thoughts, this will be done in an informal, open mic style.
Dress for the weather, bring some water and a snack. Leashed dogs are welcome. All people are welcome too!
