What’s this, what’s THIS?!
This year for Miss Dust Up is Tim Burton themed! Choose your character wisely, research them, and then emulate! Judges will be looking for everything head to toe, and all the way around, with a dash of pinup! Your posing, confidence on stage, and attention to detail.
Be your best Mad Hatter, Cheshire Cat, Sandworm, Lydia Deitz, Oogie Boogie, Sally, BeetleJuice, Lock, Shock, or Barrel, a martian from Mars Attacks, Edward Scissorhands even!! There will be a list so there will be no duplicates. But, do be sure that your character is easily recognized and family friendly! NO HALLOWEEN COSTUMES. There are so many ways to get creative from a simple skirt or dress and with your accessories to make that character come alive! So, for example. With a striped skirt/dress you could easily create Jack Skellington or Beetlejuice! A white dress with the right accessories could be Zero! A purple dress with butterflies and a veil could be Corpse Bride. So, do not be afraid to get creative and think outside of the box!
Submissions will OPEN Wed. July 30th, and CLOSE Mon. Aug. 25th.

Submission is to include:
1. Bio of 75 words or less. Usually ends up being 3-4 sentences. written in the 3rd person, and CHARACTER themed.
2. 2 photos of you in your best pinup attire! Photos do not have to be professional, however selfies will not be accepted. If you do not have photos that meet these requirements, then submit 2 photos that you feel your most beautiful in! They will be used for contestant selection and posted on social media.
A panel of judges will review submissions and potential contestants will be notified by email by Aug. 27th. At that time, a non-refundable registration fee of $20 will be due to secure your spot in the competition.
