Join us for a hands-on, beginner-friendly programming class designed to introduce you to the world of coding!
Over the course of four evenings (August 4th, 6th, 11th, and 13th), participants will explore the fundamentals of programming using two of today’s most widely-used languages: Python and JavaScript. No prior experience is needed — whether you're a student, professional, or simply curious, this class is for you.
We’ll start by learning how to write basic code in Python and JavaScript, covering essential topics like variables, data types, loops, and conditionals. You'll discover how both languages let us give instructions to computers, solve problems, and build interactive features.
As the course progresses, you'll apply your new skills toward an exciting goal: building a simple, functional website from scratch. Along the way, you’ll gain a practical understanding of how programming powers everything from automation scripts to the modern web.
This is a great opportunity to dip your toes into coding, meet others learning alongside you, and leave with a small project you can be proud of.
Ages high school through adult. Participants are encouraged, but not required, to bring their own laptop devices.
