Two positions available. Year-round, full-time, $15/hour. Preference given to enrolled members of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians
6 pieces of programming that Cultural Outreach & Event Specialists will be involved in:
1. Oconaluftee Indian Village regular season - lead tours, give lectures, demonstrate crafts
2. New Self-Guided Tours - staff the Village in the off-season for self-guided tours, sell tickets, answer cultural questions, etc.
3. New Cherokee Homeland Tours - train with a cultural expert to lead tours to culturally significant sites around the Qualla Boundary
4. New Video Subscriptions - assist with selling passes to our online tour to schools and other groups that are unable to travel to Cherokee
5. Tsalagi Tours - be part of a group that travels to locations around the southeast to share the crafts and knowledge demonstrated at Oconaluftee Indian Village
6. Special Events - assist with set up and operation of CHA special events, such as film showings, galas, Halloween, etc
