✨CHILI FOR CHARITY COOK-OFF (All proceeds to Harvest House)
Get ready for a delicious and heartwarming experience at the Chili for Charity Cook-Off! Sample a diverse range of chilis from local chefs and business owners, with options to satisfy every palate. Whether you're a chili connoisseur or just here for the fun, bring the family, share a meal, and warm up your day. All proceeds go toward supporting the Chemainus Harvest House. Come hungry, leave happy—and do some good in the process! There will also be another food option *stay tuned for more info*.
✨PIE BAKING CONTEST 1PM - No Entrance Fee
Bring your pies before 1PM to the tables on the rise by the visitor centre. Judging starts promptly at 1pm
**Please pre-register, only a small number of walk-ups accepted to limit entries
Calling all bakers! Bring your homemade pies and compete in our contest for a chance to be crowned the Blue Ribbon Winner and win $100 courtesy of CBIA. We’re excited to judge two categories: Apple and Pumpkin. Whether you’re a pie-making pro or a passionate home baker, your creations could win top honors! Register your pies in advance to ensure they’re included in the judging. This is your chance to showcase your baking skills and enjoy some delicious competition. Click here to register
✨PUMPKIN CARVING CONTEST
Bring your pumpkins by 12PM to tables on the rise by the visitor centre
Judging starts promptly at 2:30pm, you can pick up your pumpkin at 3pm when we will crown the winner
Pre-Register or show up with your carved pumpkin in hand
Put your creativity to the test in our Pumpkin Carving Contest! Whether you’re a first-time carver or a seasoned pro, this is your chance to show off your skills and celebrate the season with the community. Bring them to be judged and take them home after.

Pumpkins will be judged based on creativity, originality, and overall design. Prizes will be awarded to the top pumpkin in each age category!

✨CIDER & BEER AT TRAVEL BAR *NEW
Travel Bar will be serving up Beer and Cider. Stop by to grab a full glass of your favorite, then enjoy it as you explore the festivities, take in the entertainment, and join the community fun.
✨FALL STORY WALK (ALL AGES)
Walk Downtown, Old town, and Uptown for a fun story walk in business windows. Plus an extra special story on the day (for young ones) in the forest at Waterwheel Park.
✨COSTUME CONTEST (1-12 years old)
Bring your costume cuties by 1:50PM to tables on the rise by the visitor centre for registration
Judging starts promptly at 2pm when we will crown the winner
Pre-Register or show up decked out
Show off your creativity at our Annual Chemainus Costume Contest and compete for prizes in categories like Best Overall Costume, Funniest, and Scariest. ✨KIDZONE
Little ones will have a blast in the KidZone, with exciting activities for those under 12 years. Including some fun carnival games. and also includes the HALLOWEEN MAZE. This inflatable maze is meant to entertain and confuse, it is suitable for all ages. No jump scares or gore, simply good fun! This may be weather dependant if there is rain.
✨SAFE TRICK OR TREAT
Get into the Halloween spirit with a fantastic trick-or-treat experience. Gather your little ones and enjoy a safe and fun-filled candy hunt from business to business. Just pop inside, say hello/trick or treat, and get safe candy from our businesses throughout town.
✨MUSEUM HALLOWEEN HAUNTING (ALL AGES)
For those seeking spine-tingling adventures, the Museum Halloween Haunting is a must-visit. Join us for a hauntingly good time suitable for all ages.
