Info: Gloucestershire stands on the cusp of a new chapter. As the county launches its first-ever Tech Week, this opening keynote sets the tone for a celebration of innovation, collaboration, and ambition.
Home to world-class cyber expertise, pioneering capabilities, and a vibrant community of entrepreneurs, Gloucestershire has already carved out a reputation as the UK’s cyber capital. But its potential goes far beyond cybersecurity. With the Golden Valley Development in Cheltenham, the Berkeley nuclear site redevelopment, The Forum in Gloucester, and the new City Campus, the region is investing in the spaces and infrastructure that will underpin the next wave of growth, creating an ecosystem that connects secure technologies with energy, digital innovation, and education at scale.
Info: Gloucestershire has played a formative role in the development of a growing number of cyber and digital businesses, companies that have found both their footing and their future within the region.
This panel brings together founders and leaders from the cyber and tech sectors to examine how Gloucestershire’s unique innovation ecosystem has influenced their growth. Through their stories, we’ll explore the impact of regional resources, collaborative networks, and local expertise on business development.
Info: This high-level panel, hosted by Golden Valley in partnership with Intralink as part of the CyNam Secure Futures series, brings together three leading voices from the UK and three from the APAC region to debate one of the defining questions of our time: how can governments, businesses, and investors ensure that emerging technologies deliver benefits without exposing us to new vulnerabilities?
Info: The most powerful tool ever created for bringing the world together risks being dismantled. In conversation with leading AI and technology expert Verity Harding, Meta’s former President of Global Affairs and UK Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg sets out the radical reforms needed to detoxify Big Tech, sharing a blueprint for the international cooperation needed to ensure the openness of the internet is preserved.
