Clayton Bellamy is a 30 year Canadian Country music Veteran. Known for his multifaceted contributions to the industry as a musician, producer, actor, radio host and vocalist and guitarist for the Multi Platinum JUNO Award Winning band The Road Hammers.
He has been honoured with five Canadian Country Music Awards with The Road Hammers and been nominated for many others including CCMA Roots Artist of the year. As well as a Canadian Radio Music Award with the Road Hammers for best Group. Starting in 1999 when he won the Alberta Music Award for Best Single of the Year Clayton has gone on to be a recipient of The SOCAN Song of the year, as well as six Country Music Alberta Awards including Roots Artist, Group of the year (Road Hammers), Entertainer of the year (Road Hammers), Song of the Year and Single of the Year for co-writing the Dan Davidson Platinum Single “Found” and Finally the Community Spirit Award for his philanthropic work through the Clayton Bellamy Foundation for the Arts.
Throughout his career Clayton has toured the world with his many bands including The Road Hammers, The Congregation, and Black Mountain Whiskey Rebellion. He has appeared in Rolling Stone Magazine, People, Billboard, and The New York Times. With over 100 songs released in his career, his songs have been recorded. American and Canadian artists in both Rock and Country Music. With artists such as Big Sugar, Tim Hicks, Matt Anderson, Jason Blaine, The Road Hammers, The Standstills, and Josh Gracin.Alongside his music Clayton has been active in television and radio. Hosting the Drive home show for CISN Radio Edmonton for three years while also hosting the CMT series Ice Racer Showdown. A regular on CMT alongside the Road Hammers in their two season TV series Clayton has also appeared on HBO series Tin Star, Paramounts Joe Pickett, and the latest theatrical release with Dallas Smith Souls Road.
With Three Platinum records and over 55 million collective streams of music he has been a part of creating. Clayton is showing no signs of slowing down. With a brand new Road Hammer record on the horizon in 2025, a solo record in the works, more towns to see and songs to sing, the sky is the limit for this Canadian talent.
Opening for Clayton Bellamy is the Backyard Betties. The Backyard Betties are a Calgary-based folk/Americana trio blending heartfelt songwriting with rich three-part harmonies. Fronted by Nancy Laberge’s witty banter and originals, and powered by Pip Hazell’s high-energy vocals and Sarah Nielsen’s harmonies and driving beats, the band connects audiences to stories of love, life, and loss with authenticity and charm.
Their distinctive sound has earned them invitations to festivals and venues across Alberta, B.C., and beyond. In 2023 they showcased at the National Women’s Music Festival in Wisconsin—invited back in 2024 as a full-stage act—and will also appear at Folk Alliance International in Kansas City as part of the Alberta Room.
Laberge’s songwriting has garnered multiple accolades, including YYC Music Award nominations for Forgiveness and Grace (2022) and Just Leave (2023), plus international recognition as People’s Choice Award winner at the Edinburgh Folk Club’s Songwriting Competition.
