This is an 8-week contest consisting of:
• 6 weeks of regular competition
• 1 semifinal week
• 1 final showdown week

Contest Rules & Structure:
Professional singers and any previous winner from the past 2 years of this contest are not eligible to compete.
2. Attendance is mandatory — all contestants must be present and compete for all 8 weeks.
3. Weekly themes begin in Week 2, with a different category each week.
4. Two songs are performed each week: One song of the contestant’s choice (any genre, any song), One themed song chosen by Todd or Judges pick.
5. Registration Fee: $25 if registered by February 18 | $35 if registered between February 18–25
6. Lowest score is dropped over the 8 weeks. If a contestant misses a week, it counts as a zero score.
7. The contestant with the highest cumulative score after all 8 weeks will be crowned Champion.
Weekly Themes & Breakdown
• Week 2: Country • Week 3: Motown & Oldies • Week 4: Jazz • Week 5: Rock
• Week 6: Hip Hop / Rap • Week 7 (Semifinals): • Battle rounds (songs picked by Todd).
• Week 8 (Finals): • Total Package Showdown — costumes, props, stage presence, and full performance value
Judging Criteria
Vocal Dynamics: • Effective use of vocal range • Smooth transitions between high and low registers
• Control of tempo and volume • Proper use of techniques such as vibrato, head voice, falsetto, and dynamic variation
Tone & Phrasing • Staying in key throughout the performance • Pleasant and consistent tone • Clear articulation and strong clarity so lyrics are easily understood
Knowledge of the Song • Minimal reliance on screens • Strong timing and preparedness
Performance • Audience engagement and interaction • Confidence, eye contact, and stage ownership • Embodiment of the song or theme • Genuine emotional connection to the performance
Difficulty of Song Choice • Song demonstrates vocal range • Requires varied singing techniques • Includes tempo changes or technical challenges
