Cherokee Heritage and Culture at Chautauqua Institute

Join Cherokee National Treasure Robert Lewis for an afternoon of fun, learning about the Cherokee language, heritage, culture, and history.

He'll be outside the Hultquist Center weather permitting (otherwise inside) with lots of great cultural items, stories, and experiences you won't want to miss!

Learn about his upcoming classes for both children and adults, including basketweaving, gorget making, copper embossing, creating cornhusk dolls, and a sensory exploration through his own Indigenous cultures- Cherokee, Navajo, and Apache!
