The Anchor is a weekly event for young people who are in that in between stage – too old for traditional youth clubs (but not quite ready for the pub) and run in partnership with Medway Youth.
It's an after-class social club where you can stop by for a drink, get creative, learn something new, or just chill with friends.
Run by experienced and supportive staff, it’s a welcoming space where you can be yourself, feel included, and have fun.
The Anchor thrives when people come together so we’d love for you to join us, bring a friend, and help spread the word so even more can enjoy it.
Frequently Asked Questions:
⚓ What is there to do at The Anchor?
The Anchor is designed to be whatever you need it to be. There are always card games like uno or craft / creative activities out, but you could just find a quiet spot and crack on with homework or listen to music or just chat with friends. As the group broadens we can do more! Once a term we will aim to put on a specific workshop or activity but other than that its what you make of it.
⚓ Do you have to book?
Nope - just drop in after class between 3.30pm - 5.30pm.
⚓What age is it for?
We have aimed this social at 15 - 18 year olds, we won't ever ID anyone or turn them away, but we want to keep it special for older teens who don't find traditional youth clubs suit them.
⚓ Do you have to pay to attend?
No! The Anchor is FREE to attend including all the activities. The bar is open for soft drinks and snacks but we don't mind if you bring your own food or drink (or even a maccys) with you.
