"Any Night" Auditions ~ Chatham Playhouse

The Chatham Players will hold auditions for “Any Night” by Daniel Arnold & Medina Han on Sunday, October 12, and Tuesday, October 14 at 7pm at The Chatham Playhouse, 23 North Passaic Ave. Chatham, NJ. Actors must check in to the auditions by 7:30pm. If necessary, Callbacks are scheduled for Wednesday, October 15, at 7pm. Julia Cassisi of Cranford directs.

Production dates are January 23 - February 1, 2026 with rehearsals to begin late October/early November.

Anna is a troubled dancer looking for a fresh start. Patrick is her helpful upstairs neighbor. As the pair falls for each other, Anna’s sleepwalking and night terrors put them both in danger. Sleep is anything but peaceful in this gothic thriller that blurs dreams and reality.

Director Julia Cassisi seeks 2 actors. Actors will be asked to read from sides provided at the audition, these and the link to our new online audition form are available on Chatham Players' website at www.chathamplayers.org.

Character Breakdown

Anna - F, 20s-30s. Guarded, in search of stability and safety in light of past traumas. Unexpectedly falls for Patrick. Modern dancer and choreographer. Will be barefoot onstage for the duration of the play. Full spectrum of movers and dancers are encouraged to audition.

Patrick - M, 20s-30s (may be older than Anna). Charming, cunning, good at gaining trust but probably shouldn’t be trusted. Tech savvy. Loves Anna at first sight. Plays multiple characters/voices including the elderly landlady, a tarot card reader, and a sleep lab tech.

Note: Any Night will include moments of actor driven stage effects and the director is looking forward to creating those moments in collaboration with the cast. Both actors should be open to staged violence, intimacy, and smoking.
