Sunday 21 Sept 2025 - 108 Malabead Workshop and/or New Moon Labyrinth Walk
You can either just attend the labyrinth walk in the morning or attend both.
The New Moon represents new beginnings and setting your goals.
Welcome tea, coffee, hot chocolates and freshly baked muffins on arrival. An opening ceremony and smudging ceremony with a short mediation in Gecko Lounge before we start, once you have walked the 1km to the centre of the labyrinth, there you will be sitting comfortably on beanbags and journaling (journal/ pens provided), writing down all your goals, dreams and aspiration. On the journey out another 1km, you will open your heart to receiving. After the walk you are welcome to bring a picnic and enjoy it under the tree or down at the river. Cost of New Moon Labyrinth Walk is R350pp (9am till 11.30am)
You can choose to continue with the Mala bead workshop after the walk, the cost for everything including the walk is R750pp
You will have a light vegetarian lunch served with infused waters and fruit juice.
You will be beading your own 108 Mala bead and each knot that you make will represent one of your goals, dreams or aspirations. This will be done in silence as it's a form of meditation and beautiful music will be played in the background.
Mala Beads also known as Buddhist Prayer Beads are used to count mantra recitations for meditation, yoga, prayer and reflection, such like a catholic rosary. In Buddhism 108 is an auspicious number. There is a knot between each bead, as each knot is tied the mantra “OM” is chanted, infusing the mala and the knot with 108 mantras.
We are located in the Crocodile River Reserve just north of Lanseria Airport, there is a 7km off road, please take this into account when planning your trip.
