Sue Pitre and Friends at the Irish Cultural Centre

The Ceilidh on Friday, September 5, 2025, at the Irish Cultural Centre at 582 North River Road will feature local singer/songwriter Sue Pitre accompanied by singer Frank Whitty on guitar and Buddy Longaphie on fiddle. As well, Sue will be joined by Lester MacPherson.
Sue Pitre preforms at many ceilidhs, senior homes and benefits on the Island. She has a CD called "A Smile and a Song”. As a Walmart Greeter in Charlottetown, Sue welcomes customers with her many songs. Sue was selected in 2018 as the National Walmart Greeter for Canada.
Lester MacPerson, aka The Island’s Country Gentleman, has been playing his brand of classic country music across PEI and the Maritimes for decades. He has performed at countless benefits, ceilidhs, concerts, festivals and events. He has shared the stage with many of the region’s most popular entertainers including Smiling Bill MacCormack and Bugsy Green.
The event includes a 50/50 draw and complimentary “Tea and Treats” at intermission. The Hall is air-conditioned and licensed. Note: the elevator is currently out of service. Doors open at 6:30 with the show starting at 7:30. Tickets are available at Locarius or at the door. $20 adults and $5 (under 12).
