Island Jazz Double Header - Canadian Jazz and then Pat Metheny Music

Two Island Jazz shows on one night for the second time this summer. We start with two short sets of modern Canadian Jazz, from some of our nation's best. Music by Kirk MacDonald, Allison Au, Peter Hum, Mike Downes, Neil Swainson plus originals by Pat Nabuurs, and Dan Rowswell. This week with Patrick Nabuurs bass, Coby Nabuurs keyboards, Max Gallant drums and Dan Rowswell sax.

Our second show on Aug 21 features the incredible Jordan Taylor joins the band making it a quintet as Island Jazz plays Pat Metheny Music. Tunes like New Year, Last Train Home, Here To Stay, Timeline, Stranger in Town, Song for Bilbau and four more in one long set.

And then at 11pm we begin the Island Jazz Late Night Jam. We'll have some fun tunes ready, open for anyone to sit in. Island Jazz runs from 8pm to 1am this week!

Music starts at 8pm, $20 at the door. Island Jazz at Baba's Lounge every Thursday all year long.
