Artisan Afternoons - Francis Jadis

Join us this Wednesday at our 111B Grafton Street location in Charlottetown for our weekly Artisan Afternoon session. This week we will be hosting Elder Francis Jadis from Abegweit First Nation as he demonstrates the art behind basket making.

Connect with artisans as they showcase their traditional art through live demonstrations, offering a rare glimpse into time-honored techniques passed down through generations. Visitors will have the unique opportunity to engage directly with the artists—asking questions and gaining deeper insight into the cultural significance behind each piece. This interactive experience celebrates the rich heritage, skill, and stories of Indigenous communities while fostering meaningful connections between artisans and visitors.
