The Blessing of the Animals at St. John's

In celebration of St. Francis of Assisi, patron saint of animals, we will hold the annual blessing of the pets in St. John’s garden. If rain is predicted, we will have a canopy.

Bring your fine furry or feathered friends (or even reptilian ones) on leashes or in carriers, please. If your pet tends to be aggressive or anxious, you may bring a picture, toy, blanket, or other representation.

We encourage you to bring a donation to the Kanawha-Charleston Humane Association. A QR code to sponsor the adoptions fees of an animal will also be available.
