Inventory of Nest 57 at 503 E. Arctic

On September 10 Nest 57 hatched after 53 days of incubation. It will be inventoried Saturday evening, September 13, at 6:30 pm. Meet us on the beach at 503 E. Arctic. If raining, the inventory will proceed; if lightning, the inventory will be postponed with a new plan announced here. An inventory determines the nest’s hatch success and emergence success by counting the empty egg shells, undeveloped eggs, and dead & live hatchlings that remain in the nest. Most commonly only eggs and eggshells are found in the nest. There is NO guarantee that live hatchlings will be found.
