Dancing in the Clouds

Join us SATURDAY July 19 for wonderful night of contra dancing with Cloud 10 taking the stage and Tom Macklin calling! With Chris Liakos on the fiddle, Bobby Scott on the guitar, and Clinton Ross on the mandolin, Cloud 10 plays a mix of Old-Time, Irish/Scottish, and modern Contra Dance tunes.

Never been contra dancing? No worries! Contra is a type of folk dancing that is made up of lines of couples that is great for all levels of experience. The dance is led by a caller who not only teaches you what the sequence of moves will be, but continues to call them throughout the dance. No partner? Again, no worries! Contra is a social dance and there is always someone there that will be happy to be your partner for a dance or two!

DIRECTIONS: Take Highway 17 South, it's on your left, .8 mile after Ashley Town Center Drive (the turnoff for Costco). Look for the Benjamin Moore sign when you turn in. Look for Aspire Judo on the windows of the dance hall.
