Defensive Handgun beginner workshop and barbeque.

Ladies this is the perfect opportunity to begin training with that new handgun you got for christmas, or the one thats been sitting in that drawer all this time. The Sheepdog Foundation's Womens's Self-defense and Social Club will be holding a defensive pistol beginner workshop and barbeque. Come out, meet 'n' greet and train with other motivated women who share your drive for self protection and empowerment. And of course enjoy some absolutely incredible food! This event will be held at the Columbus County Law Enforcement Officer Association located in Chadbourn.

This is only one of the many training/social events of the women's self-defense club. This workshop will help you identify exactly where you stand with your knowledge and proficiency of your everyday carry handgun. No pressure, No judgement, just a starting point for you to determine if you wish to join the club and pursue further personal training.

This workshop is open to all women 21 and older who can legally own and handle firearms throughout the United States. No prior experience or particular fitness level required. Be advise you will be runnin 'N' gunnin !

WORKSHOP REQUIREMENTS:

You must have a valid US driver license or state ID, and have a semi-automatic pistol or revolver.

A rigid OWB (Outside waistband)or IWB belt holster. NO LEATHER OR NYLON HOLSTERS. (This is required for both Semi-auto and revolver)

At least one additional magizine and magazine holder that can be carried on your person. Speed loaders for revolvers is acceptable.

At least 200rnds of appropriate ball ammunition for your firearm. NO DEFENSIVE AMMUNITION.

Must have eye protection and hearing protection.

Dress comfortably according to weather predictions. NO LOW CUT OR SLEEVELESS CLOTHING OR TOELESS FOOTWARE. Bring a cap with a brim.

Bring a hydration device i.e. water bottle, camel back, etc. Also bring a personal hand towel.

If you have a firearm cleaning kit please bring it, if not, cleaning gear will be available to utilize.

BE ADVISED YOU WILL BE PHYSICALLY ACTIVE. YOU MAY MAKE CONTACT WITH BARRIERS AND/OR THE GROUND.

Be certain to bring a positive attitude and lots of enthusiasm. The women's self-defense club is all about positive encouragement and personal growth. Be safe and have fun learning. ~Founder
