A Chat About the Weather with Gavin Morris
Free Community Event | Hosted at Kurri Kurri Bowling Club
📅 Tuesday 3 February
⏰ 5.30pm to 7.00pm
📍 Kurri Kurri Bowling Club
Kurri Kurri Bowling Club is proud to assist Cessnock City Council and Kurri Kurri Library to host this free community event while repairs are carried out on the Kurri Library building following storm damage late last year.
Join us for a warm, friendly and fascinating conversation with Gavin Morris, one of regional Australia’s most trusted broadcasting voices, for a relaxed kitchen-table style chat about something we all share, the weather.
Love it or hate it, we all talk about the weather. It shapes our days, our weekends and our conversations. It is our shared daily drama, our small-talk saviour and our national obsession.
This is not a lecture. It is a welcoming, informal conversation with someone who has spent decades helping communities plan, prepare and chat about what is coming down from the sky.
What Gavin will share
• His lifelong love affair with the weather
• Behind-the-scenes stories from years of forecasting
• Tips on how to understand weather apps, radar and forecasts
• Time for tea or coffee and a sweet treat
Bring your questions, your curiosity and your best weather tales. We will bring the space, the smiles and the cake.
