There will be a fundraiser at EASY STREET in Centre, Alabama for Tonya Ransum.
Earlier this year in April, Tonya Rary Ransum was diagnosed with Neuroendocrine tumor with cancerous cells, or Lung Net for short.
This is a type of Limited stage small cell lung cancer.
It had spread to some lymph nodes and was approximately 3 cm.
Tonya underwent chemo and radiation treatment which she was able to complete in July.
She had a Pet Scan which showed significant improvement with a small area that could possibly be resolved with immunotherapy.
At the end of July, she lost her insurance coverage.
The immunotherapy costs thousands of dollars per treatment without insurance.
The family is currently trying to find a new insurance coverage and looking at other options to help cover the cost of treatment.
This fundraiser will 100% go toward expenses related to immunotherapy until Tonya can obtain assistance.
