Global Solidarity Run – Hong Kong Edition

Join us for the Hong Kong Edition of the Global Solidarity Run on Saturday 11 October!

This free event is a worldwide initiative led by Sanctuary Runners, an Irish solidarity-through-sport movement. Supported by Irish Aid, the Ireland Funds, and the European Commission, the GSR brings people together to run, walk, or jog in solidarity with all those who are forcibly displaced those living in extreme poverty around the world. It is a powerful expression of unity and compassion across borders, connecting all of us through friendship, respect, and shared humanity.

Hong Kong Route: We will begin and end at Peak Road Garden, following a scenic circular route of approximately 3.5 kilometers. There is no set pace — participants are welcome to complete the route however they feel most comfortable.

Dress code: Turquoise blue or blue attire is recommended. The first 50 attendees to arrive will receive a free event t-shirt (subject to size availability).

Sustainability Reminder: Please bring your own reusable water bottle. A refill station is available at Mount Austin Road Playground, the mid-point of the route.

Adverse Weather Policy: The safety and well-being of our attendees and staff are our top priorities. In the event of severe weather conditions — including Typhoon Signal 8 or above, or Red/Black Rainstorm warnings — the organizers reserve the right to cancel or postpone the event. Updates will be communicated via email.
