🚨 Skywatch Alert! 🚨
Mark your calendars, set your alarms, and stock the thermos – we’ve got a total lunar eclipse (yep, a full Blood Moon) on the way!
📅 When: Night of Sunday 7 → Monday 8 September 2025
⏰ Times for Central Queensland (AEST):
• Eclipse begins: 1:28 am
• Totality: 3:30 am → 4:52 am (peak at 4:12 am)
• Eclipse ends: just before 6 am
📍 Where: Fully visible across Central Queensland (Rockhampton, Mackay & surrounds). Best views to the west as the Moon sets.
Expect the Moon to turn a deep coppery red as Earth’s shadow takes over – a proper celestial showstopper!
✨ Tips:
• No telescope required, but binoculars will make it even better.
• Find a clear horizon view westwards.
• Coffee strongly recommended.
• Cloud-free skies – fingers crossed 🤞
Let’s make this a group event! Share your pics, viewing spots, and eclipse stories right here in the group.
This is one not to miss – the next total lunar eclipse after this isn’t until 2029!
