“Not Wasting a Drop: How to Build Rain & Runoff Gardens”
In the Pacific Northwest, most of our precipitation happens in the winter months. When heavy rainfall occurs in a short time, flooding and drainage become real concerns. Thankfully, there are time-tested techniques to improve drainage and redirect surplus runoff—minimizing erosion and preventing damage to homes and gardens.
We’ll cover:
*How berms and channels can control runoff flow
*Landscaping with plants that improve water absorption
*Strategies to reduce erosion and protect your property
*Tips for creating beautiful, functional rain gardens
