True Tuesday Labyrinth Walk with Leslie Wright, Director, Prairiewoods Franciscan Spirituality Center
Labyrinths have been around for thousands of years. The circle and the path are symbols found across cultures and religious traditions. The winding path takes us on an inward pilgrimage. The labyrinth like other spiritual practices help to ground us during unsettled times when our foundations seem to shift, sometimes we can’t think our way out of or to something, sometimes, we need another way of being.
A labyrinth is a circular path, not a maze. You cannot “get lost” in a labyrinth. The path that leads you in will lead you out again. To enter a labyrinth is to choose to walk a spiritual path. There are many ways to walk the labyrinth. Whether you walk a labyrinth for stress reduction, problem-solving, or spiritual transformation, remember that there is no right or wrong way to journey on this path. The opportunities and possibilities are endless.
