The 1960s Sexual Revolution

Register now for the first of a series of classes on religion, sex, and gender offered through Kirkwood Continuing Education by the American religious historian, Dr. Peter Jauhiainen (PhD, University of Iowa; MDiv, Princeton Theological Seminary).

The first class, "The 1960s Sexual Revolution," will explore how disputes over sexual norms, reproduction, and gendered roles were linked to larger questions about religious authority, the power of the state, and the meaning of American ideals - triggering a revolution in religious thinking that is still being contested today. A 50-60 minute presentation will be followed by 30 minutes of Q&A.
