November 3–30
Are you looking for ways to help those in our community who face food insecurity? With the increasing need for food assistance, we are collecting non-perishable and high-demand items to support our neighbors in the Wellington Heights community. Join Project Isaiah and St. Paul’s United Methodist Church for a Food Drive from November 3–30. You are invited to donate non-perishables, give funds to purchase food, and volunteer to help with the food drive. The most needed items are canned foods (such as peaches, pears, soup, chicken, tuna, beans, and spam), baking items (flour, sugar, cooking oil, and shelf-stable milk), peanut butter, jelly, pancake mix, syrup, cereal, pasta, rice, hamburger helper, toilet paper, and can openers. You can drop off your donations at St. Paul’s (1340 3rd Avenue SE in Cedar Rapids) any time the church is open. To donate money, visit St. Paul’s website (
https://stpaulsumc.org/giving-and-generosity/) or write a check labeled “Food Drive.” If you want to volunteer, contact Project Isaiah (
