Get a Grip on the Basics of Serving according to the Word of God!
Congregation members come from various backgrounds and upbringings which all carry with it an idea of how to serve. This class guides the student through Scriptures on what the Bible says about serving. Students will learn and discover more about God's plan for their life and how to use their God-given talents and abilities to honorably serve in the local church all for His glory.
This class will be held at:

This class is held once a year. In 2026, the class will be held Sundays, January 4th - April 5th, 8:45 a.m. - 9.30 a.m., in the Family Center. There will be NO class on the following dates:
-Sunday, March 15th - due to the Helps Ministry Meeting
Textbook: Getting a Grip on the Basics of Serving Workbook
-Available at a discounted rate for registered students at the Spirit of Faith Bookstore
-Please complete Chapter 1 by the first day of class
Attendance Policy:
-Students are only allowed to miss two classes in order to receive credit for the class.
-If you would like to join after the class has started, and you will miss more than two classes, you are welcome to join and receive the teaching from the Word, but you will not receive a certificate of attendance.
-In order to receive a certificate, you will need to retake the class when it's offered again and meet the attendance requirements.
-This class is a requirement for SOFFC Department Leadership.
Child Care:
-Child care is not provided; however, you may bring your children.
-Please have a quiet activity to occupy them during class.
