Fill the Shelves for Vets

Approximately 5% of veterans in Iowa live in households that receive SNAP benefits, and many more struggle with food insecurity but don’t qualify for assistance. With food prices on the rise, more and more veterans are turning to the Freedom Foundation food pantry for support. And summer can be especially tough when school’s out, so many veterans count on us even more to provide for their families.

Our veterans have dedicated their lives to protecting our freedom and ensuring our safety. Now, it's our turn to give back. This time of year, our pantry shelves start looking a little bare. But you can change that!

Help us stock up on food, personal care items, and love!! Check out our list of most-needed items and drop them off at 4001 Center Point Rd NE on June 21, 8am - 12pm.

--non-perishable food items (check expiration dates!)
--personal care items for men & women
--home good items such as dish soap, laundry detergent, Kleenex, hand soap, paper towels, toilet paper, and disinfecting wipes
