About the event

Bridging Histories: Utilizing Fact & Fiction to Connect Us
Author and researcher Madeleine Kleppinger brings her experience to NCSML to help other aspiring novelists or people who just love historical fiction. During this free event, she will discuss her process of utilizing the unique resources of the NCSML collection to pen a novel.

Her latest novel, My Brother's Mark, tells the story of a teenage girl fleeing Czechoslovakia in the summer of 1969 as Soviet soldiers roll in.
